Wrote this after having been struck with interest by a quote from the animated movie Flashpoint Paradox. The quote is from the Demon Etrigan. As Etrigan stands a midst a raging battle that is sure to bring about the end of humanity he says, " Behold, Man's final mad disgrace. He chops his nose despite his face.". A line that really encapsulates man's self destructive nature. Which inspired this little bit. Not sure if I will continue to add to it or leave it as is.

Untitled

Man's tongue utters words of peace and harmony,
His eyes soft, as to convey a disdain for war.
Whilst underneath the table of diplomacy,
His hands toil fashioning tools of violence and gore.

This poetry feels of extreme depth with emotion. War is full of so much sadness.
